The epic story returns this Christmas to the streets of Gravenhurst.

The people who cared for this place before we used it for ourselves…We have forgotten the lessons; we have lost the thread of the teachings…so…tonight we wander; tonight we bear witness.” As we journey alongside Ebenezer Scrooge, we collectively realize that Charity, Community and Redemption of Self are always worth the journey.

Join us as we traverse the Town of Gravenhurst for this Muskoka-inspired, re-imagined classic.

A PORTAGE FLYER CHRISTMAS – EVENING TRAIN RIDE TO SANTA: Dec 17, 2022

  • The Portage Flyer locomotive and authentic coaches have a thousand lights
  • Enjoy a cup of free hot chocolate and cookies (while supplies last) and sing along to the carols while you wait to board the train
  • Once on board, you will gently ride alongside the Muskoka River to The Purser’s Cabin
  • Santa is waiting to hear “your side of the story.” If you want to stay longer, you can always catch the next train back

Where and When

  • Muskoka Heritage Place Rotary Village Station – directions to 100 Forbes Hill Drive, Huntsville
  • Gate opens at 4:30 pm, rides begin at 5 pm until 8 pm (last train leaves station at 7:30 pm)

  • $5.00 per person, babes in arms are free
  • Purchase your tickets once inside and just prior to boarding (sorry, advance tickets or reserve seating is not available)

HIDDEN VALLEY HIGHLANDS “TORCHLIGHT PARADE” – December 24, 2022

Join us starting at 5:30 to hang out by the bonfire, sip hot chocolate and listen to Christmas Carols. The parade will head down the Flying Dutchman (weather permitting) at 6:00 pm sharp. Watch our Snow School instructors and Ski Patrollers descend the Flying Dutchman carrying brightly lit torches in a beautiful procession of lights. Santa even joins in the Parade (you didn’t know he could ski, did you?)

Bracebridge Fire & Ice Festival: January 28, 2023

Fire and Ice Festival​​
The Bracebridge Fire and Ice Festival is an exciting Festival that offers a unique approach to a traditional winter carnival. “FIRE” features will include fire artists and fire pits throughout Downtown. “ICE” features will include interactive ice displays, a downtown tube run, and Memorial Park Winter Village skating trail that is located in Memorial Park.
